Quality Assurance/Quality Control
PURPOSE & SCOPE
The purpose of the Project Quality Control Plan is to establish and
define the plan to meet or exceed the requirements for the services and
products provided by the industry standards. It is the intention of the
Project Quality Control Plan to provide the Project Team assigned to each
project performed by PROFAB Construction and Supply guidelines for
executing the work and for inspecting, measuring, testing and recording the
results of the work.
RESPONSIBILITY
Producing quality services and products is the responsibility of every
employee at PROFAB Construction and Supply. PROFAB's Management Team is ultimately responsible for all work performed by
the company. The assigned Project Manager and Project Superintendent have
the direct responsibility for managing, directing, and overseeing work
performed on individual projects and accountable to the Management Team for
ensuring the quality of the service and products provided.
The goal of each project is to provide services and products in an effective
and cost effective manner that:
1. Meet the contract requirements
2. Comply with all laws and regulations
3. Satisfy other expectations our customers have, when practical and without
incurring unreasonable added costs.
4. Follow applicable internal PROFAB Construction and Supply Policies
and Procedures.
5. Exceed OSHA standards
PROCEDURES
At the beginning of each project, the Division General Manager, Project
Manager and Project Superintendent will evaluate the project's specific
requirements for ensuring quality. The size and nature of the work will
dictate the organization established for each project. Smaller, less complex
projects, may utilize the Project Superintendent exclusively for inspecting,
measuring, testing, and recording the results of the work in the field.
Larger, more complex projects, may have assigned Quality Control
Supervisors, Field Engineers, Design Engineers and/or Inspectors as required
to assist the Project Superintendent in ensuring the quality of the work
performed.
DOCUMENTATION & RECORDS
The Division General Manager and Project Manager will establish the
documentation and record keeping requirements at the beginning of each
project. Similar to the organization developed for a project, the complexity
of the project, along with the specific requirements of the Client may
determine the level to which the inspections and testing are documented.
Once established, the Project Superintendent or his designated Quality
Control Supervisor will maintain the records of the inspections, tests and
acceptance of the work by the Client at the work site. All records will be
kept readily accessible for Client review.
At the completion of the project, all records shall be included in the
Project Manager's Final Job Report.
